Managing Director

Roger Berry

Roger was one of the original founders of the Group and its long standing Managing Director.

Roger Berry is a qualified accountant with 40 years of fiduciary and accountancy experience specialising in pension & fiduciary solutions, co-author of the UK pension industry anti-scam guidance – PSIG and vice-president and long standing GAPP committee member.

A council member of GIBA (the Guernsey International Business Association), a body which represents the different facets of the Guernsey financial services industry which liaises with local government and regulators, on domestic and international issues relevant to the financial services industry. Co-opted onto the Guernsey Association of Trustees (GAT) committee the industry representative body for fiduciary license holders in Guernsey.

He has sat and contributed to numerous Guernsey and UK Pension Committees: the Guernsey Financial Services Commissions Retirement Annuity Trust Review Committee, the Guernsey Association of Pension Providers (GAPP), the Guernsey Income Tax Pensions Legislation Review group and has been closely involved in the development of pension regulation in Guernsey. Has attended GAPFA (Gibraltar pension industry committee). Chaired the GAPP QROPS sub-Committee and the Code of Practice QROPS Group. Speaks widely on the subject of QROPS, QNUPS and International Pensions. Directly contributing to the drafting of Guernsey pension legislation and has met HMRC pension’s policy and HMT representatives to discuss QROPS. Active in combating pension scams and pension liberation including technical and full committee membership of The Pension Scams Industry Group (PSIG), the UK voluntary body set up to combat pension scams through the publication of good practice in due diligence. Associate member of UK industry body AMPS. Contributed to UK Government working party reviewing effectiveness of advice on DB transfers.

Roger trained with KPMG but soon moved from being an employee to an employer, becoming a Partner in a local firm of accountants with a fiduciary business. In 2004 acquired that business and the Concept Group was born.

Created and had approved Guernsey’s first personal pension multi member 157A scheme in 2006 soon followed by world’s first personal pension multi member QROPS also in 2006, now the template used by all main providers worldwide. Instrumental in the development of QNUPS and both Trust and Contract based pension arrangements.

Operations Director

Kevin Le Moigne

Kevin joined Concept Group as Director of Operations in 2003 and became a shareholder in December 2016.

Kevin joined Concept Group as Director of Operations in 2003 and became a shareholder in December 2016, he has built up a wealth of experience, working in the fiduciary industry for over 35, formerly working for an international bank-owned trust company, working in Guernsey and Jersey. He is responsible for overseeing business operations, including IT and premises management.

He is a member of the International Compliance Association and holds the International Diploma in Compliance.

Thomas Burns

Tommy was employed with Standard Life Assurance for over 42 years with a track record of high performance in senior management positions in a variety of disciplines including risk and change management and financial crime prevention.

As Deputy Chair of the Pension Scams Industry Group (PSIG), he has provided high calibre support to Margaret Snowdon OBE, Chair of PSIG since its formation in 2014 playing a pivotal role in the development of and updates to PSIG's Industry Code of Good Practice. He represented PSIG on the Pension Scams Action Group (formerly Project Bloom) Strategy and Communication Groups developing highly effective relationships with senior stakeholders within the FCA, the Pensions Regulator, Department for Work & Pensions (DWP), Money & Pensions Service, the National Economic Crime Centre and other member agencies.

In addition, he established and chaired the Pension Scams Industry Group Forum (PSIF), which shares knowledge of schemes and entities of concern across the industry and with both the FCA and the Pensions Regulator to better protect scheme members. PSIF, which now has around 70 member companies, was personally endorsed by Guy Opperman MP during his time as Minister for Pensions and Financial Inclusion.

Tommy has also developed the PSIG responses to various consultations including DWP's Pension Scams: Empowering Trustees and Protecting Members, FCA's Call for Input on the Consumer Investment Markets, Vulnerable Customer Guidance and HM Treasury's Economic Crime Levy consultation.

Our Senior Managers

Associate Director

Rachael Sanders

Rachael is a qualified lawyer with 20 years’ experience in financial services. She joined Concept in May 2022 as an Associate Director.

A qualified lawyer with 20 years’ experience in financial services, Rachael was educated and qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand, where she trained with KPMG before relocating to Guernsey in 2007.

Rachael joined Concept in May 2022 as an Associate Director where she utilises her trust and company experience for the benefit of clients. Her prior Guernsey experience includes roles as a Senior Legal Manager in the in-house legal team at a large fiduciary firm where she worked for 8 years and as a lawyer in the Business and Trust Law Group at a leading offshore law firm for 6 years.

In December 2019 Rachael became a full member of STEP and she has recently completed her Certificate in Company Direction through the Institute of Directors. Rachael has held a New Zealand legal practicing certificate since October 2016.

Senior Operations Manager

Simon Warren

Simon is STEP qualified and joined Concept in 2009. Reporting into the Operations Director, Simon primarily handles AEOI reporting, regulatory reporting, complaints and pension reporting.

Reporting into the Operations Director, Simon's duties include filing international tax compliance reporting, local regulatory reporting, complaint handling and the provision of annual reporting to pension members, as well as his fiduciary duties as a Director of the in-house companies.

Simon is STEP qualified and joined Concept in 2009, prior to which he spent 13 years in the investment services department of a large asset management firm with a strong global presence.

Compliance Manager

Kim Le Moigne

Kim has been with Concept since 2012, and has over 23 years’ experience working in the risk and compliance area of the finance industry.

Kim has over 23 years’ experience working in the risk and compliance area of the finance industry. In 2000 Kim moved to Guernsey, whilst working for a large international bank where she held a variety of roles in corporate banking including the role of Corporate Risk Manager.

In 2012 Kim joined Concept as Compliance Manager and in March 2019 was appointed as the Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO).

Kim holds Chartered Management Institute Diploma and holds a number of International Compliance Association qualifications.

Helen Slane

Helen has been with Concept since 2009, and is in charge of overseeing the Client Services Department.

Helen has been an integral part of the Concept team since 2009, where she holds the responsibility of overseeing the Client Services Department. Helen takes pride in delivering a professional and exceptional service to the members of various schemes offered by Concept.

A crucial aspect of Helen's role involves continuously evaluating, enhancing, and refining processes and procedures within the company. This effort ensures that Concept remains at the forefront of the Pension and Fiduciary market.

Trudi Kendall

David Crook

David, with 30 years of IT and Cyber Security experience, has been Concept’s IT and Cybersecurity head since 2022.

David joined Concept in 2022 having previously consulted for the business from its formation.

He has over 30 years of experience working in IT and Cyber Security globally and has an MBA and an MSc in Computer Science and Cyber Security.

He is responsible for the IT systems and Cyber Security for the organisation.

Head of Business Development

Thomas Moverley

Tom joined Concept at the start of 2021 relocating to Guernsey from the UK. Having spent the last 16 years working in London and most recently as Board Director of a Professional Industry Body.

Tom has over 16 years’ experience in Business Development and Relationship Management, having worked across a varied sector and with some of the UK’s largest multi-national organisations.

Tom is responsible for heading up and overseeing Concept’s Business Development initiatives both in Guernsey and abroad.

A fan of all sports, in his spare time Thomas enjoys socialising with friends and family, getting outside, holidays in the sun, eating out and keeping fit.

Jack Fraser

Jack has been with Concept since 2021. He has over 6 years of experience in Trust & Company industry and is currently pursuing STEP qualifications.

Jack returned to Concept in December 2022, after previously spending time with the Group prior to his travels.

Jack joined Concept Group with the desire of beginning a career within the Pension sector. Prior to joining Concept, Jack has 6 years of experience within the Trust & Company industry.

Jack is currently undertaking his STEP qualifications.

Leon Simon

Leon began his working career with Concept in June 2022, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing

Leon, embarked on his career with Concept in June 2022, driven by a passion for the field after completing his A Level studies.

As a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Leon actively pursues additional qualifications to elevate his skills and propel his professional growth.
